A bridge - connecting countries

My first cover from Poland ! The sender sent me two covers - this one and another with postcrossing stamps . I had only asked for a cover with postcrossing stamp and told him I also like Europa stamps and so he sent me two !

The Europa 2018 Poland stamp features the Vistula bridge . The bridge links the two banks of the Vistula River. It was built to enable the running of a busy railway line between Berlin and Krolewiec. It used to be the longest and largest bridge in Europe until mid-19th century. The structure was entered into an international list of historical civil engineering monuments. The Vistula is the longest river in Poland and passes through the entire Poland and then into Belarus , Ukraine and Slovakia.
Date of issue - 02-May-2018
Value - 5 zloty

The other stamps are from 2016 - showing Centaury flowers . Centaury flowers are native to Europe and are also called Christ’s ladder - having medicinal properties
Value - 50 grosz

Thanks Wojciech!

Update : 05-10-2018

The Vistula river is a river that arises in the Polish mountains and drains into the Baltic Sea - a rover that’s entirely Polish !
Thanks my friend, Wojciech - for correcting me . I honestly wish I could trek along the river and the mountains with him . He is an avid trekker !
