A cover from Poland with the Poland postcrossing stamp !
At first glance I thought it was just a picture of a suitcase until I opened the envelope to find this postcard.
It shows the evolution of Polish postboxes in the last century or so .. and the postcrossing stamp actually shows the latest semiautomatic postboxes of Poland disguised like a suitcase - the Polish postbox is traveling around the world through postcrossing - a beautiful design !
Polish Post drew inspiration on the theme of traveling through postcards, and re-imagined a “postcrossers’ suitcase”… which naturally has a mailbox on the side!
Date of issue : 14 July 2016 ( for postcrossing anniversary )
The other stamp is a 2018 issue . The words on the stamp translates to “ Poland - my motherland “ . Such a nice combination of stamps - and also red and white ... the entire cover is red and white - the flag of Poland !
The A on the stamp probably denotes the value of the stamp for domestic / international letter rate . I am not sure yet ! I found that the stamp is 2.60 PLN ..
So the total postage is 7.60 PLN ( roughly around ₹145 or USD 2.20 )
The cancelation is on 18-05-2018 from Krakow
