A cover from Ukraine with the Ukraine Europa 2018 bridges stamp - featuring the railway viaduct in Plebanivka
Great beauty viaduct is not far from the village Plebanovka, Ternopil region. Its construction dates back to 1896. Its original form it has retained thanks to robust masonry and massive base.
Railway viaduct has 9 arches made of natural stone gray color. The main role of the viaduct - a relief to overcome various obstacles on the ground rail. It runs over the beam, connecting its slopes and form a straight road. The arched viaduct construction style was chosen by chance. That arch increases the reliability and durability of the whole structure, extending its life. On either side of the railroad tracks, travel fenced for security purposes, but it does not affect the opening of the train window view. During the train ride over the viaduct you will be able to view the fabulous and amazing landscape of Ukraine.
